Under NO circumstances will it be acceptable for you to beat or abuse your horse. If we see you whipping repeatedly with an over and under in the back because you're upset over a run, hitting your horse in the face, excessively yanking on their head in anger, etc. I WILL disqualify you. I do not care who you are. This is one thing that I will never waver on, and this is your only warning. These horses take care of us... our only job is to take care of them as well.
Friendly and quiet dogs are more than welcomed at our shows. NO dogs are allowed in the arena or alley way. Please keep dogs on a leash. Not everyone's horses love dogs, and we just want to keep everyone and the animals safe.
To be put into the early draw you MUST pay before early entries close.
No alcohol is allowed at any of our shows even if the arena allows it. We try to keep things very family oriented and there are always kids running around everywhere. The last thing we want is for a kid to pick up someone's half drank beer bottle. Let's do our part to grow our sport by making sure to keep all things kid safe.
Do NOT hangout behind the alleyway. Do not cross it when someone is trying to enter for their run. Although we all should, not all of us have good brakes and we may not always run to a closed gate.
No going into the arena during drags. You can stand in the alleyway during a drag, but clear it before the drag is finished. The only way you should leave the nose of the alley and enter the arena is when it is your turn to run.
This one is for those of us that have horses that are hard to get into the arena. As long as you're making forward motion you are okay. You will have 2 minutes to get your horse headed towards the alley. If they leave the alley once they're in it and pump the brakes again, we will have to scratch you. Just try and get in as quick and easy as possible. We don't want horses getting loose or running people and their horses over. Also need to keep things as timely as we can. We understand some are hard to get in and we will try to work with you, but before it gets out of hand we will announce a warning then you will have 2 minutes.
Once in the alley you need to keep forward motion. For example, no walking to the nose of the alley and letting your horses get a peek then turning around and starting from the back. Keep things moving.
If a holding pen is being used you MUST enter through it. Everyone must enter the same way. Not doing so will result in immediate disqualification. Keep things fair.
Do not circle a barrel more than once during a run. Doing so can result in immediate disqualification for the rider on all of their horses for the night. If you need to train your horse, we will allow exhibitions after the show.
Rerides: If a timer breaks on a clean run, you will be able to rerun with no penalties on fresh ground. If the timer breaks and you hit a barrel, you will not rerun. If an important part of your equipment breaks during your run such as your bridle or cinch, you will be offered a rerun. Bad luck and life happens, we get it.
No running out of turn. You will be disqualified. If you need to swap horses or are having an emergency you need to discuss it with the producer before you run. No side-pots will be added after your run either. Everything must be discussed before your turn.
No screaming and cursing. No fighting. No loud vulgarity. Use common sense and keep it family friendly please.
It is your responsibility to give me your BBR number when you sign up.
You may run the same horse as your immediate family member. The same horse will not be allowed to be entered two times in the open if the riders are not family.
Refunds will only be given when proof is given for an emergent situation or a vet out. Only other time refunds will be issued is if we have to cancel. If we run with it sprinkling or wait out a shower and you decide to scratch, then you will not be refunded.
If you're not present when your name is called we will call 3 times. If you're still a no show you will be scratched.
We will always follow BBR rules and guidelines even if we have a show that is not BBR approved. This includes the amount of holes we will pay and the scales we will use for payout.
